Hi, my name is Cheyenne France - a NYC based photographer who loves shooting fashion, editorial, lifestyle, and portrait photos!

Capturing and preserving memories has been a passion of mine since before I even understood the true purpose of what I was doing. Whether it’s taking photos, journaling, making videos, creating scrapbooks, or gathering souvenirs, I’m constantly using visual arts as a means to pause a moment in time. Now, as an adult, I understand why this has always fascinated me so much.

Photography has especially caught my attention because of how beautifully it captures one exact moment, allowing for authentic emotions to shine through, and viewer interpretation to take lead.

I started out by taking photos of my family and pets when I was around thirteen. I remember photographing this one moment of my childhood dog on our front lawn with her two front teeth sticking out, which was later used as inspiration for a drawing of her when she passed away. That image of her has been forever etched into my brain in the most perfect way possible, highlighting her little quirks . I’m so happy I’m able to look back on this memory of the dog that shaped my childhood, which has further pushed my passion to preserve more of those special moments for myself and for others.

The art of photography, to me, is a means to symbolize whatever you desire through a curated set of visuals. Through my several niches, I get to experience the different ways to utilize this form of expression.

One day I might be using this art to articulate a deep rooted issue in our society, and the next I might use it to create a long-lasting memory of an unforgettable person or experience.
