SHADOWS IN NEON *

This series uses the visual language of nightlife, such as club attire, neon lighting, and glitter, to explore the suffocating reality of toxic relationships. The model, bathed in pink and blue light, wears silver glitter tears that reflect both the glamour and hidden pain behind the façade of a night out. In some images, an anonymous figure’s hands grip her neck, symbolizing the invisible chokehold of a controlling partner and the way their presence lingers, even in spaces meant for joy and freedom. By juxtaposing beauty with discomfort, Shadows In Neon raises awareness of how toxic relationships can overshadow moments that should be carefree, reminding us of the importance of recognizing and addressing these cycles.
