During one semester, I created a 10-minute podcast analyzing Dove Cameron's song 'Breakfast' and its music video, which flips traditional gender stereotypes by showing women in positions of control and power. Inspired by this, I developed a photography series exploring similar themes, influenced also by Eli Rezkallah's work challenging traditional gender roles.
I chose stark white backgrounds for each image to maintain a uniform look, keeping the focus on the subjects without distraction from complex lighting or backgrounds.
Stepping outside of my comfort zone, this project became an opportunity to create intentional, meaningful work centered on a social issue that continues to shape our world today.
